Friends in Aktion
Where development has no disability.
The Friends in Aktion club is proud to be sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Duluth. In our inaugural year we achieved some great things! We have started on a few service projects, including yard work for a senior citizen and cleaning up around Old Duluth Cemetery.
Friends in Aktion club has adopted a road, Main Street, and adopted a ballfield at Bunten Park. Signs have been placed at these two adopted sites acknowledging the club's commitment to servicing the areas.
Friends in Aktion activities enable members to:
- Participate in the active life of the community
- Contribute to the community
- Develop mechanical, creative, and intellectual abilities
- Participate in social interaction awareness
- Improve self-esteem
- Develop leadership skills
- Achieve personal and service goals.
